Biography
A native of Oceanside, California, Brandon began appearing in television commercials at the age of four. In 1984 he began working in episodic television, starting out as “Smith Sterling” in the CBS sci-fi/fantasy drama “Otherworld”. A few years later and as a result of several guest-star appearances on ABC sit-coms such as “Mr. Belvedere”, “Full House”, “Step By Step”, he landed the role of “Doug Porter” on “The Wonder Years” – a role that would span 20 episodes, 4 seasons and garner him a Young Artist Award.
Between seasons of “The Wonder Years”, Brandon starred as “Ben Hanscom” opposite Tim Curry, Jonathan Brandis and Seth Green – a role he shared with the late John Ritter in the Stephen King mini-series “IT” on ABC, which is certainly one of the most noteworthy and well-loved adaptations of his work.
Brandon is also an accomplished stage actor having appeared in plays and musicals all over Southern California. Equity and regional theater highlights include: Man of La Mancha (Inland Theater League Award), Pirates of Penzance, Show Boat, Camelot, Once Upon a Mattress, Sweeney Todd. Regional premieres: Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Who’s Tommy and a concept recording and workshops for the new musical Great Expectations.
What’s On
Brandon can currently be seen on screen in “IT: Chapter Two” in (2019).
